Connecting and Networking
Engage with Us
We believe in the power of education and continuous learning. Please mark your calendars for our monthly meetups from August 2024 to June 2025. These sessions are designed to build community and expand your knowledge. Meetups are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. Stay tuned for more details on each meetup.
The discussion this month will be focused on giving everyone continued time to network with colleagues who are in similar roles throughout other vet colleges, and share strategic focuses for the upcoming academic year.
This month, we are calling all fundraisers for Development Rounds! Borrowing from our clinician’s teaching hospital strategies, we will take the hour to break down recent donor cases and see what we can learn from them and each other.
Learn how the bonds formed between clients and clinicians can transform gratitude into generosity. This webinar explores the emotional and philosophical drivers behind grateful client philanthropy.
Presented by Aaron Phaneuf, Senior Director of Development, CSU
Dr. Carl Southern will be joining us from the University of Florida to facilitate a “2.0” of his keynote from the 2024 AVAP Conference!

Join us for a virtual town hall on Zoom to receive updates from our Executive, Conference Planning, Engagement & Outreach, and Marketing & Communications Committees. We will discuss plans to revamp our website, update our bylaws, upcoming virtual and in-person engagement opportunities, and changes for the 2025 AVAP Conference. The town hall is a great opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and learn more about ways to get involved with AVAP.
The discussion will be focused on Alumni & Friends Receptions. Please join us to share ideas about what your college has been doing, and ask questions of your colleagues as we approach the end of conference season!
Join Rachel Koepsel, MA, MSM, CMCS, for a discussion on leveraging advancement efforts to support vet students’ professional development while in school.
Join host Elena Jones, Associate Director of Development, MSU Veterinary Medicine, to discuss Engaging Non-DVM University Alums.
Connect with AVAP members to learn more about how they utilize events to engage with Grateful Clients at their institutions.
What new ideas from the 2024 conference or the Engagement and Outreach connection call series did you try this year? How did it turn out? We want to hear from YOU!
